CLUB NIGHTS - Monday - 5:45pm to 7:00pm

Club nights are run from Hillmorton High School playing fields and will commence from Monday 14th October. Club Nights are targeted to grades 7 to 11. At Club Nights athletes will take part in various activities that will incorporate running, jumping and throwing, the fundamentals of athletics, with a focus on FUN and being active as much as possible. To make these nights successful we need the welcomed assistance from parents to ensure all activities are run safely. Alternative training nights are provided for athletes wanting specific coaching for event skills and technique. These training nights are primarily for competing interclub athletes.

An athlete's official age is his or her age as of 31 Dec, 2013. For example, if a child is 9 at the beginning of the season but turns 10 in December, then he or she competes as a 10 year old the entire season (even before turning 10). If another child is 9 but turns 10 in January, he or she competes as a 9 year old the entire season (even after turning 10). These official ages apply to club nights, Saturday Interclub competition, and the Colgate Games. At Saturday Interclub and the Colgate Games, children compete only against others in the same age group (the exception being that children under 7 compete as a 7 year old). However, on club nights, we often combine age groups (e.g. "under 8", "8 & 9 year olds" or "12 and older") based on the number of children attending.

Training and Coaching is available for all athletes participating in the Interclub competition.

Grade 10 to 14 training is held Tuesday and Thursday 5:30pm to 7:00pm at Hansen Park

Grade 9 and Under training is held Wednesday 5:45pm to 7:00pm at Hillmorton High

Please contact one of the club contacts listed below for more information. Training will commence on Tuesday 15th October.
